Susan Rivera has held numerous leadership positions within the insurance industry over the past 20 years, most recently having served as President of QBE Specialty Insurance Division and Chief Actuary of QBE the Americas. Susan was responsible for the management of $2B GWP in program business with over 80 programs written by 65 partners. Prior to QBE, Susan served as President of ACE USA Group after spending 15 years at AIG where she started in the actuarial department, and progressed to positions of increasing responsibility, with her last assignment being President of American Home Assurance Company. Susan’s vast specialty underwriting and actuarial experience have kept her focused on developing and maintaining portfolios of the highest underwriting integrity and profitability.

Don Barrand brings over 34 years experience in the Property & Casualty Insurance industry, specializing in commercial auto program business. Don served as SVP of Empire/Zurich and President of their Special Operations Strategic Business Unit. Don led the successful development and management of Empire’s auto rental and dealership programs. Prior to V3, Don served as VP of ERC/GEIS/Swiss Re Programs segment where his responsibilities included program development, underwriting and management; due diligence; auditing and regulatory compliance.

Robert Parker has 35 years experience in the insurance and legal professions including all aspects of commercial lines industry operations, distribution, underwriting and claims. Robert joined V3 from USLI where he was the Regional Team Leader for the Midwest/Southwest territory, responsible for the development of business and underwriting profitability for E&O products. Prior to USLI, Robert highlighted a 14 year career at AON by designing and implementing Agency Specialty Products Network (ASPN), a cross-marketing initiative of 225 products from 31 AON niche wholesale & MGA businesses. Robert is a founding member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society and is also an experienced insurance defense attorney, having practiced professional and products liability defense in New York City.

Pam Wagner has over 25 years of specific Workers’ Compensation product line experience at 2 major insurance carriers, spending 17 years in executive management positions responsible for a national Workers’ Compensation underwriting organization. Pam co-authored AIG’s Internet Workers’ Compensation product, which included development of rates, rules and forms. Pam led the implementation of state specific strategies that focused on profitability, consistency, streamlining processes, distribution, customer service and strong renewal retentions. Pam’s last position at AIG was Vice President Workers’ Compensation Product Line Executive with responsibility across all of AIG for Workers’ Compensation underwriting compliance for the organization.

Jason Holmes has over 15 years underwriting experience and deep broker relationships developed over his career at AIG, Global Excess Partners, AON and QBE. Jason joined V3 from QBE where he was SVP and Property & Liability Practice Leader, managing $1 Billion of QBE Specialty’s $2 Billion GWP. Jason was recruited to QBE to develop and enhance technical property expertise across a broad portfolio of property and package programs and was responsible for implementation of aggregate accumulation guidelines and data reporting requirements for all program partners. Jason also attracted reinsurance capacity for the property per risk treaty with capacity across a broad array of programs, up to $100M as well as property cat capacity of $750M.

Kevin McDermott brings over 30 years of Insurance industry Operational and Financial experience to V3 Insurance Partners. Kevin spent the previous 12 years in senior operational positions at AIG, including SVP/Chief Operations & Systems Officer at American Home Assurance Company. Kevin’s duties included operational direction and oversight of American Home’s $7B GWP, written in Workers’ Compensation, General and Auto Liability, Umbrella and Excess lines. Kevin’s experience includes direction and implementation of operational and IT controls to meet Sarbanes Oxley requirements as well as standardization of work flow process for the excess casualty and umbrella divisions, which enabled an average 15% increase in productivity. Additionally, he has considerable experience in successfully setting up start-up insurance operations.

Ken Hagen has over 20 years of strategic systems management and software development at AIG, Dynax Solutions and Deloitte & Touche. Ken joins V3 from AIG, where he held various Senior Technology Officer Positions, including Senior Information Officer (Divisional CIO) for Excess Casualty, Workers’ Compensation, Domestic Legal Services Group and Domestic Underwriting Resources Division. Ken enjoyed IT ownership of all AIG domestic underwriting workers’ compensation systems supporting more than $8B in GWP. This included responsibility for all workers' comp regulatory filings systems. Ken also was responsible for AIG’s 2 largest domestic web-based broker facing quote and bind solutions, supporting $0.75B in new business annually.
